In Hiram Grange & the Digital Eucharist, Robert Davies explores the depths of a new age cult called the Occlusionist Movement, which is seemingly bent on world domination, and the ramifications of something Hiram did several years earlier when he royally pissed off an elder demon. And it just gets better from there. The book starts fast and never lets up momentum. Davies’ writing style is engaging, with the perfect amount of description and action. The plot pulls you from chapter to chapter, just as any good book should; this is another great entry into the series.

As a side note, I’d like to say that quite a few things impress me about the series in general. Hiram’s voice is constant through the series, no matter the writer. That’s impressive, and it shows talent and care on the parts of all the writers involved as well as the editor. Striking the right chord with humor can be a challenge in fiction, but the writers of the Hiram Grange books seem able to inject dark humor into the series effortlessly. The artwork on the cover and the interior of the books is phenomenal as well. I don’t really like gushing, but everything about these books is done well.

Once again, I can’t wait to see what the next book in the series has to offer. If you haven’t already started reading Hiram Grange, get on it!
